OOPS, we did beat our previous mark set in 2009 with a new record amount...

When all the numbers were counted we had fallen just shy of the record amount. However, companies like Kroger are such great partners that they increased their donation to make 2010 surpass that previous mark. The new record is over $211,000!

It is amazing the over $1,600,000 has been raised over the past 14 years. This year a total amount of contributions was $201,784.00! However, next year is our 15th year and big things are being planned.

Just in case you missed the ad by Kroger in the Indianapolis Star last week...

The ad reflects on 14 years of a partnership between Kroger, General Mills and, most importantly, the customers who support the Race for Riley by shopping at any Kroger located in the state of Indiana and donating by purchasing a balloon icon to support Riley Hospital for Children. These balloons are still avaiable until August 7th.

Until Saturday, August 7th, Kroger and General Mills will partnered up to offer great value for a $1 donation to the Riley Hospial for Children. At any Kroger, Pay Less, Owen's or Scott's located in the state of Indiana, a consumer can make the donation and as an added bonus for that donation they receive $1 coupons for each of the General Mills products such as Pillsbury Grands, Betty Crocker Mixes, Tortinos and General Mills cereals. That is up to $4 in savings for the $1 donation that goes directly to the Riley's...

Alex Nodine will be the first to tell you that Camp Riley is far from your average summer camp. The 16-year-old from St. Joe, Ind., has traveled to Bradford Woods the past five summers to attend the camp for youth with physical disabilities.

Monday, July 19

John Andretti, Dave Wilson and "guests" will visit the kids at Riley Hospital for Children passing out goodies, autographs, and even some of the General Mills characters will make an appearance! This day represents whey the Race for Riley is so important. Due to hospital restrictions, this event is not open to the public.

Tuesday, July 20

Indianapolis Finest restaurants come together along with some great entertainment to benefit the Riley Hospital for Children. The Window World Progressive Dinner will be located at the Westin Indianapolis for the first time. Expect to gain a few pounds as you sit back and enjoy the "live" music and good friends. To register, click on this date but you better hurry as seating is limited.
