The Race for Riley consists of three major events over two days needing volunteers for each one.

The first is the main event that consists of a trip to Riley Hospital for Children. While there, WIBC’s Dave “The King” Wilson hosts a live three hour special focused on the hospital, patients, staff, doctors, EMT’s, parents to inform its listeners of all the benefits and care that Riley provides to not only the people of Indiana but around the world. John Andretti and guests visit the patients not able to visit in the lobby handing out gifts and signing autographs.

The second event is the Progressive Dinner hosted at One-Liners Comedy Club located in Greenwood, Indiana. Several special dishes and desserts are gathered as a sampling of some of Indiana’s finest cuisines are served in multiple courses of appetizers, dinner entrees and desserts. This event is what requires the day of rest before the actual “Kroger Race for Riley presented by Cheerios”, the third event.

“The Kroger Race for Riley presented by Cheerios” has many activities all happening at one time. There are simulators, a Black hawk helicopter, slot cars, races, raffle, autograph sessions and more. It can sometimes be chaotic but always fun.
