- WIBC's Dave 'the King' Wilson will pre-promote and broadcast 'live' at the event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- The event begins with a media race, where local sports casters are invited to race against John Andretti. Dave Calabro was the winner of the 2006 event and his name has been engraved on the 'Kroger Race for Riley presented by Cheerios' 'Borg-Warner' trophy.
- The public is invited to register and race against John Andretti. See the 'Contribute' tab and click 'Register' to send in a form to participate.
- 300+ attended the event in 2006.
- Another good reason for the event is because Matt Hibbeln is a 'punk' and deserves to be taught a lesson. He also needs to keep his streak of LAST PLACE finishes alive.
